Hay Dairies

Going for Goat

With more than 40 years of farming history starting from pig to chicken farming, and now goat farming, Hay Dairies is a stalwart of the Singaporean farming industry. The Hay family moved into goat farming in 1988 and has about 1,000 goats of mixed breeds on its property – most of which are Alpine goats from Minnesota in the US.

At the farm, the goats are kept off the ground to prevent them from catching diseases or being infected with parasites. As milking sessions occur from 9am to 11am, the best time to visit Hay Dairies is in the morning, to watch the goats being milked.

Hay Dairies produces fresh goat’s milk for sale, with freshly-processed milk going on sale the same day it’s taken from the goats. If you are planning to visit in a large group of more than 10 people, you’ll need to book a tour where there will be a guide who accompanies you on an educational tour throughout the farm.
